I LOVE this top! There's something so elegant about white. |
I don't know about you but I am constantly searching through magazines and the web for new crochet pieces. This top is the very first of my findings for this year. I spied it while glancing through the March 2011 issue of "In Style" magazine. It's the thickest issue I've ever seen and has so much information!
While on my journey to find special crochet and the latest crochet fashions, you'll see clothing, accessories, miscellaneous items and even crochet furniture. Check back to see more. If you find something you want me to post, please let me know and I'll be happy to.
this top is drop dead goregous but i can see it would take some effort to reproduce with all those motifs and joining them together.....but would be something to slowly work on!! love it

These motives will be perfect for "continuous" crocheting. Sorry, I don't know if there is a special term for this technique, I think it came from Japan or China. The idea is that you start a motif, but stop half-way through the last round, and then use appropriately long chain to move to the next motive, and so on. When you have a strip of "almost finished" motives, you crochet this unfinished row hopping from one to another. This is a terrible explanation, I know, but it works perfectly for simple motives like in this top.
ReplyDeleteThat is definitely a gorgeous piece of work! Sure would take some time to make but would be worth it.
