My Local Yarn Shop - Fiberworks in Beavercreek, Ohio - A Suburb of Dayton

Scroll down to see larger photos!
Arlene Graham is the owner of  Fiberworks, a LYS here in Beavercreek, Ohio . She carries many different kinds of yarns and orders new yarns regularly. She's crochet friendly (unlike some yarn shops) and also carries knit and crochet supplies such as hooks, needles, kits, mugs, roving, tons of crochet and knit books, magazines, and lots of other notions. Her shop is warm and inviting, with over stuffed couches and chairs to make you feel comfortable. Coming in anytime to sit and crochet or knit with friends is encouraged. It's like being at home! She sells spinning wheels, yarn swifts and yarn winders, but if you can't afford to buy one of those to rewind a "hank" of yarn, you can use her yarn swift and yarn winder while you're there in the shop.

If you've never been inside Fiberworks, you'll LOVE it! Don't blame me though if your mouth is dry when you leave, from drueling over the beautiful yarn she carries!  BEWARE: If you are a "yarnacholic", or "yarn hog", you may need to take someone with you, so they can pull you away, and  help get you back to the car!

The shop is very easy to get to, and is not far from Route 35, located at 3050 North Fairfield Road. (Beavercreek-a suburb of Dayton) Go here to see a map of how to get there. If you're coming from 675, just get off at the Fairfield Commons Mall exit (N. Fairfield exit) and go South on Fairfield. Either way you come, the shop is near the intersection of  N. Fairfield and Dayton-Xenia Rd. There's a tiny little plaza between the back of Sunoco gas station, and the plaza where the Amish Furniture store is. The shops phone # is 937-429-9276. Maybe I'll see you there someday! We have a crochet group that meets the 4th Monday night at 6:00 p.m. I haven't been to the meeting for a while, but if you plan to come, please contact me and I'll try to be there. Shop hours are listed at the end of the video. Please come join us for the fun!

Arlene carries my books, Positively Crochet! and Crochet That Fits and allows me to display some of my designs. The green Four Button Jacket is my design which was in Crochet! magazine. As you can see from this photo, you will find 100's of Knit and Crochet Books for sale, as well as knitting needles and crochet hooks. If she doesn't have something in stock she will probably order it for you. Every time I go in, she has more and more yarn! You'll LOVE this place. If you live within an hour or two of Dayton, a trip here would be very worth it. We have a nice mall down the road (Fairfield Commons) and many restaurants to choose from, so gather up your friends to make a day of shopping in Beavercreek! You won't be disappointed. Make sure you watch the video so you can see more pictures and more information at the end!
